Studying Foundation Degree in Business & Management
I have always regretted not going to university, and up until recently never thought it was ever possible to fit a course around my hectic lifestle. I'm married, work full time and have a four year old daughter so the course had to provide me with a flexible, practicle and afforable way of acheiving my goal.
A big thank you to Kaplan for providing me with the opportunity to fulfill my life long ambition in gaining a degree qualification. I have always regretted not going to university, and up until recently never thought it was ever possible to fit a course around my hectic lifestle. I'm married, work full time and have a four year old daughter so the course had to provide me with a flexible, practicle and afforable way of acheiving my goal. I am currently employed as an Events Manager and I wanted a course that would enhance my business and management skills regardless of the industry or role that I worked in.
I was very excited about using the learning platform and being fully web based means that I can access my course at work, home or on the move. At first I admit I was a little nervous about completing the course work, having been out of the studying environment for many years. But the Introduction to Online Learning module gave me the opportunity to renew my learning and writing skills, essential for both completing the course and enhancing my career. Week by week my confidence grew and with the support of my course lecturer, David and on going interaction with my fellow students, I have found the work to be enjoyable and highly rewarding.
Kaplan's work based learning model has allowed me to apply my insights, skills and many years work experience to my studies and this has helped me enormously with completing the weekly discussion postings and assignments. I have almost completed my second module, and I already I feel that I have learned so much about myself and my potential.
