Studying Foundation Degree in Business & Management
Having worked in technical roles for Vodafone, Amazon and Fujitsu-Siemens, I decided to join the course for a number of reasons: Becoming a well-rounded manager from a business perspective was important to me, as well as grasping the theory around business practices. Also, I have a real passion for meeting new people and working with them professionally and personally, and the opportunity to interact closely with my fellow students is a great benefit.
Thus far, the course is helping me understand the differences in communications, perception and reality in the business world. Being aware of people’s views and assumptions about business is very important.
I tend to study a bit each day to refresh my memory rather than cramming it all in on a deadline.
Ultimately, I want to apply my experience and the knowledge I gain from this course to gain a position in higher management.
