Studying Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice
I chose to do the Criminal Justice course with Kaplan as I could fit it in and around my job, which consists of shift work.
The course is well structured with clearly defined and easy to understand marking criteria, which is useful for learning what is required of you. It is taught in an interesting and varied manner comprising of discussions, seminars and easily manageable essays. The tutors are knowledgeable in the field that they teach and can provide helpful advice and feedback to help you develop your work. In addition to the tutors, students are supported by friendly and helpful Student Advisers who are on hand to provide advice, guidance and motivation.
One feature of the course that I like is the fact that there is an emphasis on establishing how you can apply your learning to your work environment and vice-versa; this helps your professional life to benefit and develop as a result.
I find the course enjoyable and would strongly recommend it to anyone else thinking of undertaking it. An added bonus is that when you graduate from the course you graduate as a student from the University of Essex, which is a reputable university for the social sciences.
