Studying BA (Hons) in Business & Management
I am currently studying towards a BA Hons in Business Management. Working full time as a Management Accountant in a very hectic and fast paced industry brings its own pressures and naturally demands a high work ethic. To fit around long working hours and supporting a family with a baby at home the thought of studying on top seemed to be an area that I thought would not be possible and would need to be put on hold for the foreseeable future.
However, I am 25 years old and have a lot of studying and learning to undertake to fulfil aspirations of qualifying as a management accountant and rising to a senior management opportunity. The BA Hons Business Management course provided by University of Essex Online is a very solid and thorough course that provides students the opportunity to encounter all aspects of managing a business in the modern day at your own pace which can help me fulfil my aims and goals.
The course is designed through a series of 10 units in each module, each with their own set tasks, online seminars, discussion forums and assignments over a 12 week period. After completing each unit and finally completing the module you have the opportunity of continuing the course at your own speed to fit in with the responsibilities of adult life.
The learning platform is very user friendly and with help and support from the dedicated tutors who are available at all times to answer any questions and offer guidance and feedback on how you progress throughout the modules. I have had the opportunity first hand to develop my essay writing to another level through the learning techniques passed on to me by a lot of the tutors which not only helps me in my studies academically but in working life through writing presentations, detailed briefs on current issues and important emails to the senior management team.
Through the course being detailed in its expectations of you as a student I have been able to continue successfully throughout my first year at a pace that has suited my work, my family and myself to achieve very high grades. Being organised is one of the elements I find that is essential if you are to be successful on a University of Essex Online course, all the help is there for you to achieve your goals as initially there is a worked based learning module which puts you as a student in the right frame of mind and prepares you for the rest of the course.
I would strongly recommend to anyone a University of Essex Online course who wants to learn and progress even with the pressures and struggles of working and family life. The course is designed to allow you to choose how and when you study with all the help and support you can get.........I bet your asking is it possible to fail? Why not try and have a go!
