I work for the Valuation Office Agency (VOA). The VOA is an executive agency of Inland Revenue. Our main functions are to compile and maintain the business rating and council tax valuation list in England and Wales.

I am a Christian and worship at the International Christian Celebration Centre (ICCC) where I am a member of the ushering department. I have a lovely 20 months old son. I love going out with friends shopping and going cinema.

I joined this course to develop myself and to maximise my skills, and to gain a degree.

The flexible working policy in the VOA has made it easier for me to achieve other important milestones such as studying and looking after my son. I have a wonderful partner who always helps out on the home front thereby affording me more time to study, do my assignments and take part in-group discussions. And as a result I have always completed my assignments on time.

This course has given me better understanding of how the economy works and sense of accomplishment.

What I like about this course is the opportunity to network with fellow students. The academic advisor and tutor are always very helpful. I also like the online seminars because I don’t have to attend any classes everything is online.
