Degree Qualifications

University of Essex Online's online Foundation Degrees have been designed to provide practical and relevant work-based skills to employees seeking to advance their careers and develop their responsibilities within the workplace.

Our core Foundation Degrees curriculum focuses on fundamental skills and knowledge related to the business workplace. Students have the opportunity to pursue one of three Business Degrees in: Business & Management, Marketing & Sales Management and Leadership & Management.

Our Criminal Justice Degree curriculum focuses on developing an understanding of the legal and criminal justice processes in England and Wales, their dynamics and the role of government, the impact of specific crimes and the options available for dealing with offenders. Following the compulsory modules, students are given the opportunity to pursue one of four pathways: Police Studies, Youth Justice, Probation and Custodial Services.

In both instances (Business and Criminal Justice) an Honours Top-Up is available for students to proceed onto, after successful completion of their foundation degree.

Professional Qualifications

University of Essex Online is partnering the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to offer students the unique opportunity to earn a professional Management qualification.

The Level 5 qualifications, which include an Award, Certificate and Diploma, are designed to develop a range of core management skills. These qualifications are specifically intended to give practising or aspiring middle managers a comprehensive foundation in their formal development.
