Module Description
This module aims to:
- Ensure students recognise the breadth of legislation designed to address anti‐social
behaviour
- Develop an awareness of what constitutes anti‐social behaviour
- Recognise the key elements of the legislation
- Identify and critically assess the key agencies that assist with the implementation of this
legislation
- Identify those powers granted to criminal justice agencies by this legislation
- Critically evaluate how effectively those agencies utilise the powers provided

Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module, students will be able to:
- Identify the key pieces of legislation
- Recognise the concept of anti‐social behaviour
- Understand and critically evaluate the role of those agencies primarily responsible for
the implementation of the legislation
- Identify and critically evaluate the effectiveness of key facets of the legislation
- Recognise the human rights implications of this legislation
- Understand the role of the media
