Critically examines the role of insurance products in risk management, and the legal framework by which insurance firms operate; understand the role of the underwriter in assessing the eligibility of individuals for different types of financial products; identifies and evaluates life/health; property and liability insurance.

This module aims to develop student’s understanding of the role of insurance in risk management and of the role of the underwriter in assessing eligibility of individuals for different types of financial product.
