Level 3: Global Business Environment
Introduction
Develops an understanding of the main
trade theories and the role of business
in today’s global environment. You will
evaluate the enticements and barriers to
companies conducting trade outside their
domestic base. For example it will explore
the socio-cultural forces that impact the
international business environment as well
as understanding the role of international
organisations such as the European Union.
Module Description
This module aims to:
- To develop a clear understanding of the barriers to companies conducting business in and with countries outside of their domestic base
- To equip students to understand the main economic trade theories and the global trade and business environment
- To critically evaluate the strategic processes for entering international markets
- To evaluate the role of the various international organisations
- To develop in students a critical appreciation
