Level 2: Web Design

Module Description

This module aims to:

  1. Explore the concept of web design;
  2. Provide practical instruction in building a web site, including learning HTML, images, and formatting;
  3. Apply these skills to develop an attractive, user friendly business web site;
  4. Create a work product by producing and linking several web pages that may include tables, frames, graphics and different formatting styles.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module, students will be able to:

  • Apply understanding of the inter-relationship of internet marketing with key business functions and how effective web design contributes to the business
  • Design and create Web pages using HTML
  • Analyse and assess a range of web design applications including links, forms, tables and graphics
  • Critically evaluate the impact of formats and structure on usability
