Module Description

This module aims to:

  1. Explore the concepts utilised for effective information technology project management;
  2. Analyse effective project management knowledge areas and process groups, along with the use of project management software;
  3. Analyse case studies to further demonstrate information technology project management concepts.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module, students will be able to:

  • Apply understanding of project management concepts and software to define, implement, and modify projects
  • Critically assess the role of outsourcing in information technology projects
  • Analyse and assess the role of change control processes in information technology project management
  • Apply understanding of the concepts of project closure to project management
