Introduction

Identify and examine key skills required in the criminal justice system such as leadership, communication, teamwork and problem solving. Understand how those skills will assist the criminal justice system to fulfil its professional responsibilities.

Module Description

This module aims to:

1. Identify the key skills required in the criminal justice system
2. Explain why they are key
3. Ensure students recognise the main facets of those skills
4. Make students aware of how those skills will assist them to fulfil their professional responsibilities
5. Raise students’ awareness of the need, and their ability, to develop their skills, professional knowledge, expertise and personal qualities
